Mailing list changes

Hi,

Unfortunately, I am going to have to institute a few mailing list
changes. I have been getting an increasing amount of junk mail sent to
the list lately, both crap that has to be moderated, and bogus requests
to the -help address.

Normally, I wouldn't care about this, since I don't see -help requests
and I just ignore the requests for moderation. However, twice in the
last few weeks, Comcast's SMTP server has cut me off -- for 48 hours at
a time! -- because I'm sending too much mail.

I can't get Comcast to write me back (typical crappy customer service)
and tell me what the limit is. However, it does look like what's
causing me to hit the limit is all of the bounces required for moderated
messages and -help responses on this mailing list.

Later today, I am going to customize my mailing list manager (EoC) so
that it igores requests to the -help address and doesn't reply at all
for moderated messages. I realize this will make it more difficult to
use the list. I'm sorry about that.

Please write me directly at pronovic@ieee.org if you have any problems
using the list.

Thanks,

KEN
