Good.

I'm not sure what you mean. Do you want a full backup every day, or
just at the beginning of the week with incremental backups after that?

If you want full backups every day, choose a 'daily' backup in
configuration. Otherwise, choose an 'incr' backup in configuration, and
you'll get a full backup on the first day of the week and incremental
changes each day after that.

I don't know what you mean by this.

Well, then put the path to that samba share into configuration...?

I still get the impression that I am not really answering your
questions. That is because I am not really sure what you are asking.
On the surface, these questions are fairly basic and are answered in the
documentation.

I suggest that if I am not really providing the answers you need, that
you phrase your questions in terms of of Cedar Backup actions, i.e. "I
want to collect Subversion data to my Samba share", or "I want to keep
two weeks of Subversion staging data around", or "Can you explain what
happens in the collect action if I choose a daily Subversion backup",
etc.

Or, as I suggested in a previous email, try using Cedar Backup once or
twice to get a feel for how it works, and come back to the list with
questions about what you observed. This way, you can ask "I saw this,
but what I want is this" rather than open-ended questions which are much
more difficult to answer correctly (because I am missing the context
around them).

Thanks,

KEN
