I'm actually surprised that this worked at all for you. Cedar Backup
uses the cdrecord utility to write to disc. The cdrecord utility can
write to CD media in a combo DVD/CD drive, but it isn't supposed to
support writing to DVD media at all. I don't know for sure, but I
suspect what's happening is that cdrecord thinks it's writing a CD onto
your DVD media.
So, the simple answer is, no, I don't think that there's a way to write
full-sized DVDs instead of CDs, without creating a new DVDWriter class
in terms of some utility other than cdrecord. This shouldn't be that
difficult, but I just haven't had time to look at it yet (I only
recently acquired decent DVD hardware)
